So who is Scottie Willis? A Jackson, Mississippi native, international recording artist Scottie Willis is one of the premier voices of our time. He has earned the reputation of being a highly sought-after vocalist, writer, producer, arranger, and music director. Scottie grew up surrounded by great music. With a pianist for a father and a worship leader for a mother, it was only a matter of time before he found his voice.

Like many artists, Scottie grew up singing in church. "I hated singing," He said, "But God's plan wasn't my plan." By the time he had reached middle school, Scottie was already a member of the Terry High School Gospel Choir. It was at this moment that he began to understand who God was and the anointing placed on his life.

Scottie's inaugural project Simple Songs of Praise, was released on April 8, 2012. He later released two additional projects, "Yes Gawd the mixtape," which featured The Gospel comedy character The BishUp, and "The GospoSoul Mixtape," which featured artists from the metro Jackson area. Both projects were self-produced and are available on soundcloud.com. At the end of 2015, Willis released the EP Acousticality, produced by Charles Ross of Cleveland, Mississippi. The first single from that project, "He's done so much," was featured on the Fighting Okra Records Compilation album.

In late 2011, Scottie founded the youth and young adult ministry R.E.A.P (Really Excited About Praise). An energetic group of young people from throughout central Mississippi, who are excited about spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ! The group has grown into a musical force to be reckoned with in Mississippi and beyond. Their first Album "The Live Experience" was released in 2018 and was considered in the Gospel categories for the 2019 Grammy Awards. Additionally, the holiday single "What Would Christmas Be Without You" made the 2020 Grammy award first-round ballot.

In February 2022 Scottie and R.E.AP recorded their second album live in byram Mississippi entitled "Still Excited" to commemorate 10 years of the groups' existence. It is slated to be released in late 2023. So what lies ahead for Scottie Willis? His future rests securely in God's hands, and he wouldn't have it any other way.
